  1. Christopher Johnson says:

Face? Palm. Palm? Face. I’m sure you two have a lot to catch up on.

  2. Dan Crawford says:

Do indaba, Indaba, -daba I Do. And what a profound impact it has had on mission. And in one month, General Convention will be indaba, -daba, doing.

  3. Pageantmaster Ù† says:

Continuing Indaba is celebrated as “a wonderful gift to the Communion”

I suspect what they mean is that the American money on which they have been flying all over the world staying at great hotels is celebrated as “a wonderful gift to the ACO/LamPal”.

This must rank as the most oily unctuous report yet from ACNS/EpiscoPrabda.

    Coming next week:
The Listening Process is celebrated as “a gift to the Communion”
Ubuntu is celebrated as “a gift to the Communion”
Rowan Williams is celebrated as “a gift to the Communion”

Excuse me while I head off to the Vomitorium.

    I beat you to it.

  5. Pageantmaster Ù† says:

Sorry about that – must have been the indigestible portion of Phil Groves covered with lashings of Butter.

Anyway, there are much more effective Continuing Indaba groups: T19, SF, Anglican Report/Ink etc, and that is what people really take note of , much to the chagrin of the ACO.

  6. dwstroudmd+ says:

“Unctiousness” in this context has no relation to “unction” – rather like the bastardized continuing inadaba to inadaba. However, both misuses do have the deliberate intention of continuing and flaunting western imperialism.

  7. Yebonoma says:

Maybe continuing indaba is proof that perpetual motion actually exists. On the other hand maybe it works better as
    “In-a-daba-da-vida honey,
Don’tcha know that I love you?
    In-a-daba-da-vida baby,
Don’tcha know that I’ll always be true?”

  8. AnglicanFirst says:

A synonym for “indaba” is “divide and conquer.”

And the “indaba” process or should I say Delphi method has behind the scene facilitators who are bound only by their “behind the curtain” protocol.

Sort of like the presidium of a dictatorial political party controlling the process of a presumably freely elected congress.

A true synod cannot function under the “indaba” process.
